Our Story

Construction is in our blood. Starting out east when our founding family started their first construction and renovation business in the early 1900’s. Generation after generation we are committed to furthering the standards of excellence in the construction industry. We take pride in our roots as a family owned general contractor. 

Years later our founder moved west and started out as as painting subcontractor reaching 22 full-time painters. In 2005 Showcase Interiors was launched to provide white glove residential renovations. Since then we have built a record as a responsive, reliable and diligent residential contractor winning best of houzz 6 years in a row.

Fast forward to 2019, driven by demand from our residential clients Formwest Contractors is created to  provide the same quality service to commercial clients. With a focus on tenant improvements, multifamily, strata and office renovations. Our background as a residential contractor positions us to provide a level of service not typical of commercial contractors. Our approach is always to be helpful, provide responsible pricing and reduce your stress.

Our PROCESS

CONSULT

We take pride in our renovations. Our team along with our network of professional designers, architects and engineers will develop the optimal solution for your construction project.

  1. Your single point of contact for the duration of the renovation will visit the site and collect a detailed scope of work.
  2. Based on your budget and requirements an optimal solution will be designed to match.
  3. A quote will be drawn up and you control the level of detail you want to see.

When it comes to quoting our focus is on providing responsible pricing at the outset. We want to minimize the need for changes that result in an increased budget.

PLAN

Once a renovation budget is approved. Our team takes all that information and flips it into an execution plan which you can access through your own online portal.

​From your portal you will be:

  1. ​Constantly updated on the progress of your project.
  2. Able to manage selections, choices and changes seamlessly.
  3. Able to track how costs are accumulating relative to your budget.

Our planning process establishes the framework for effortless communication and the transparency needed for your project to run smoothly.

EXECUTE

We have the optimal design / build solution. We have a plan. Now we execute.

  1. Your project manager hits the ground running. Executing the construction schedule with our team and thoroughly vetted network of subcontractors.
  2. Every step of the way you are kept informed of construction progress through the portal and directly from your project manager.
  3. You are in control. Not interested in being bogged down in the detail or too frequent updates. You let us know and we will design a unique communication plan that suits your needs.

Our process ensures that once the consulting and planning phases are done the execution phase is simply executed and communicated.

MAINTAIN

Once your renovation project is delivered. We have no plans of parting ways. Our service goes beyond warranty for our workmanship. We offer continued support in the form of our owner representative program.

We have you covered when you need:

  1. Periodic building inspections to minimize future maintenance costs.
  2. Capital expense planning to ensure you are keeping up with those building maintenance costs without incurring all of them at once.
